MAGB is a martial arts organisation as you have not experienced before.
The dynamic we create is that you are our customers and we provide a service, and we expect you to keep us on our toes!

This is more than just leaving you free to be as independent as you wish. We actually take the time to help support you in whatever capacity you need to run your club – or not if that’s what you choose.

MAGB is at your service, it is as simple as that.

For Insurance and licences, this is a simple arrangement whereby you require insurance and we arrange it. The insurance is through an Insurance Broker Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

If you are currently thinking of setting up your own Martial Arts Club, then you have come to the right place. You will need martial arts insurance for you and your students. Standard acceptable cover includes public liability, instructor liability and member to member liability. 

You may also appreciate some one to go through some of the other stuff you need to think about when setting up a club, so please feel free to just give us a call and we will help you as much as we can for no extra cost.

As an Association, you will probably already have everything set up and in good working order. Our Association customers usually just require the basic professional services.

We also have a strong confidentiality policy, so you can be assured that you can maintain your authority.

If you just require licences, no problem.

Once you have decided to arrange licences through MAGB, you have a number of options.
You can have a paperless option, whereby you will submit all member information via email and we will keep the membership details on an account for you, reminding you when renewals are due, or you can send the information by post if this makes you more comfortable.

You have some choices about licence books, which we will go through with you when we speak to you.
Please contact us by phone or email your telephone details and MAGB will call you to go through our policy and fees.

All conversations are confidential; you can remain anonymous as no personal information is required whilst just inquiring and at no point are you under any obligation.

You just need to give us a call – we will then send you your form. You complete & sign the form, and send it back to us. It’s that simple. There is some compliance set by the underwriters. If you are over 18yrs, and hold a black belt or equivalent (for those styles who don’t grade) then that’s a good start.

The law changed in October 2009 - absolutly everyone who has contact with people under the age of 16 or vulnerable adults are required by law to have an enhanced disclosure check.  In July 2010, organisations who have anything to do with the process of permitting people to have contact with children and vulnerable adults will be legally bound to ensure you have had this check through their organisation.

This is a good thing - anything which protects the young and vulnerable is a positive step...

Again, we have sourced the most convenient way possible for Instructors to be able to get a CRB.  All you need to do is send us your email address and you can do it all online.

Just get in touch beforehand so we can run through things with you.

We can arrange cover for martial arts events and seminars in the UK. Once we have spoken to you, it’s just a matter taking the event details. We can also arrange cover for all martial arts ring combat, including MMA (mixed martial arts) event cover, which includes the competitors. Please contact dawn@magb.com
